Melissa Reché, glass artist
I am a fourth generation Idahoan with a teaching and musical background. A violinist for 25+ years with the Meridian Symphony and a public school teacher and private tutor for over 20 years, I taught Theater, Speech and Spanish. Directing numerous theatrical productions, I often designed and constructed the costumes, scenery and props. I have lived in San Sebastián, Spain and Monza, Italy and speak Spanish and Italian. My hobbies include acrylic painting, quilting and skiing. In 2016, I launched a professional career as a glass artist and now teach advanced fusing techniques at Fusions Glass Studio in Eagle, Idaho. Classes include casting, pâte de verre, screen printing on glass, vitreous painting, kiln firing and flow techniques. I make custom artwork for commercial and residential settings as well as public art.
