Melissa Reché, glass artist
A fourth generation Idahoan, Melissa Reché, possesses a wide range of artistic abilities. A violinist for 20+ years with the Meridian Symphony and a public school teacher for 10 years, she taught Theater, Speech and Spanish. Directing numerous theatrical productions, she often designed and constructed the costumes, scenery and props. Fluent in Spanish and Italian, she lived in San Sebastián, Spain and Monza, Italy. Her hobbies include acrylic painting, quilting and skiing. In 2016, she began her career as a glass artist and now teaches advanced fusing techniques at Fusions Glass Studio in Eagle, Idaho. Classes include casting, pâte de verre, screen printing on glass, vitreous painting, kiln firing and flow techniques. She also makes custom artwork for commercial and residential settings.
